I graduated from Bethel University with a degree in Biblical and Theological Studies and a minor in social work.  In 2014 and I began managing Community Connections Partnership-Brooklyn Park and Cooperative Options.

One of my favorite things to do is travel.  I love experiencing new things and new cultures.  I love coffee and I have started collecting Starbucks mugs from around the world.  My current collection consists of mugs from Jordan, Paris, Greece, Switzerland, Singapore, Istanbul, Twin Cities, Seattle, and Vancouver. In my spare time I love to play handbells.  I have been playing bells for 13 years and this year I auditioned and made it into Bells of the Lakes, a very talented community handbell choir that performs and leads workshops around the Twin Cities area.  I am very excited to be able to take part in this amazing opportunity doing and sharing something that I love!  And of course, I am the proud “mama” of two adorable rabbits, Lola and Geoffrey and enjoy fostering for and volunteering with Minnesota Pocket Pet Rescue.

In 1994 I started working as a direct care professional and throughout my career I have held positions such as QDDP, manager, director, consultant, trainer, and interim executive director.  Having the opportunity to support people to grow in their relationships and become contributing members in their community is the most rewarding part of the work we do.  I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Minnesota-Duluth.

Some of my passions include cheering my kids on in their activities, teaching Sunday School, volunteering in school and community events, and spending time with my husband.

I have been in the field for over 22 years and employed with CCP for over 12 of those years in a variety of positions. I have many years of experience in a DT&H setting, Supported Employment Services, and ILS/SILS.

My families motto is "Have the best day you can". For me it means, look at everyday in a positive light and take from it, good and bad, as much as you can. So I greet each day as a new adventure!

I have worked with people with disabilities for over 20 years, in a variety of roles.  From that I have learned that there is no better place to make a positive impact on a person’s life than as a Direct Support Professional.  It is the moment to moment interactions in helping people that lead to a quality experience for the individual, and a rewarding job for the staff.

I see my role as helping to communicate our vision as an organization, helping to remove barriers to implementing our vision, and helping to give our staff the tools and information to do the best job they can for the people we support.

Our success as an organization will be measured in the stories of the people we support, the experience of our staff, and the impact that has on our community.

In my free time, I mostly do projects for my wife, and decide which of my kid’s turn it is on the computer.

I love working in a field where we can foster creativity, innovation and transformations in the lives of those around us.  Through my formal education, B.A.’s in Political Science and International Relations and M.A. in Liberal Studies, I’ve learned the value of coalition building and advocacy to promote positive change.  In my 4 years working with CCP, I’ve loved brainstorming possibilities and opportunities, and looking at how we can continue to evolve as the disability field continues to change. One of my favorite parts of my job is offering staff training and facilitation.  I believe in creating a strong and positive work culture and love being a part of helping teams realize possibilities.

My favorite things to do outside of work are to spend time with my family and travel! I have a passion for volunteerism.  If I’m not at work, you’ll probably find me helping out at my kids’ school, leading our girl scout troop, or volunteering at the YMCA.  My door is always open for a new idea or a chat!

I have supported individuals with disabilities for 30 years and have been employed with CCP for 22 years. I have had a variety of roles within the years from  Job Development, Operations Manager, Quality Assurance, Maltreatment Investigation to an Operations Director.

I love to spend time  traveling, being outdoors, and reading a good mystery. I am passionate about serving others in the community to end poverty. What’s most important to me is my faith and family.

I graduated from the University of Minnesota- Twin Cities with a degree in Sports Management and a minor in Youth Studies. I have over 12 years of experience in SES, ILS/SILS, in-home, personal supports, housing, and residential services. I am a recent hire at CCP and have been here for 8 months.

I am moderately obsessed with dogs…ok who am I kidding…I am extremely obsessed with dogs! I love working out especially when Zumba is involved! Planting and eating fresh produce out of my garden is awesome…but I dislike weeding with a passion:)

I worked in residential as a direct care staff, program manager, and as program director in the course of four years before working for CCP.  I have been working for CCP for over thirteen years.  I currently also work part-time at a residential crisis home. 

When I have free time one of the activities I enjoy doing  is singing in community choirs.

I have been with CCP for almost a year.

My two furry companions are the real joy of my life, along with the obvious family and friends. My art is very important to me, as well as getting out and enjoying nature, whether it be hiking with the pups or being lazy on the beach.  However, my secret passion is for epic fantasy book series, such as “The Wheel of Time” by Robert Jordan.

I have been in the field for over 30 years and have been with CCP for 28 of those years. My experience has been in SES, representative payee services, and residential services. I enjoy being in the field because I am able to provide supports to individuals, while they develop their talents and confidence. Seeing them be successful is extremely rewarding for me. I have interests in nature and photography and a developing passion for birds. I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling and I love animals.

I grew up around the field as my Mom is the president of Rise and has worked there for over 35 years.  I went to college for Industrial Management with an emphasis in Printing.  When I was done with college I worked for a small screen printing/digital printing shop. Eventually I applied at CCP as a float employee in 2009.  From the float position I took a variety of positions since then that has led me to my position currently.

I like to downhill ski, hunt and fish, and homebrew beer.
